My Story
From an early age, I was immersed in the world of electronic security, technology, and construction, growing up in my family’s business, York Electronic Systems, Inc. What began as a childhood curiosity soon became a lifelong passion—one that led me to a career centered on innovation, leadership, and community impact.
After earning my degree from Langston University, I gained valuable experience in IT before returning to York in 2002 as Vice President. Over the years, I worked alongside my parents, not just mastering the technical side of the business but also honing the skills necessary to manage people, finances, and strategies for growth. In 2009, I became President and CEO, leading the company through transformative growth and ultimately acquiring it from my parents in 2012.
As a woman entrepreneur in the construction industry, I learned firsthand the challenges and opportunities that come with leading teams, navigating complex projects, and fostering an inclusive workplace culture. My leadership philosophy has always been people first—understanding that sustainable growth happens when you invest in people, relationships, and a shared vision for success.
Following York’s acquisition by VSC Fire and Security in 2023, I transitioned into the role of Oklahoma Division Manager, continuing to drive operational excellence. But my passion for empowering businesses and communities led me to a new chapter. In 2024, I launched Sovereign Stewardship, a consulting firm that leverages my 25+ years of experience to help organizations strengthen their infrastructure, build effective leadership, and develop people-centric strategies for growth—all while prioritizing the unique needs of tribal nations and mission-driven businesses.
My expertise now spans electronic security, risk management, construction management, financial oversight, and organizational strategy—all through the lens of sovereignty, sustainability, and long-term impact. Beyond my work, I am proud to be an advocate for women in business, a Cherokee Nation citizen, and an active leader in my community, having served as Chair of the Tulsa Regional Chamber and received industry recognition, including the Security Systems News "Top 20 Under 40" and the Tulsa Regional Chamber SBC Lifetime Achievement Award.
